Nothing. Everything this page once listed as unbuilt has been built, and none of it ended up behind a price — the digest and saved-search alerts send wherever a mail provider is configured, and the API is open and needs no key. When something is on this list again it will say so here, with where it has actually got to. If there is something you would pay for, write to us and say what it would be worth.
Is the index really free to read?
Yes, and it stays that way. The records are public and indexed by search engines. There is no metered allowance behind them and no wall to hit.
So what does it cost?
Nothing, because there is nothing to buy. Index cannot take a payment: no card is stored, no invoice is raised and no part of the site asks for either. If that changes it will be announced here first.
Is there an API?
Yes, at /api/v1, and it is free and needs no key. It is read-only and covers the public records: companies, investors, people, sectors, funding rounds, launches, acquisitions, news and jobs. Requests are rate-limited by address, and nothing an account holds — a watchlist, a list, a saved search, a submission — is reachable through it. Fetch /api/v1 itself for the list of collections and what each one takes.
Who can claim a company profile?
Anyone with a work email at the domain on the record. Claiming works today and is free, and so is editing a claimed record — its tagline, description, team and open roles. Funding figures stay with the research desk either way.
Where does the data come from?
A research desk, company filings, and the companies themselves. Every field carries a source and a date.
There is a record about me. Can I have it changed or taken down?
Yes. People records are published in the public interest rather than with the consent of the people named, so you can object to one or ask for it to be removed. The privacy notice sets out how, and who to write to.
